Dear JHPCE Community,
We have just been informed that the Facilities Maintenance group will be performing work on the power systems in the SPH building in early August. This will cause power to be cut to the JHPCE cluster server rooms between August 11 and August 13. In order to prepare for this power outage, we will be taking the JHPCE cluster down beginning at noon on Monday, August 11th. Once the power work has been completed on the morning of Wednesday, August 13, we will begin powering the cluster systems back up. We expect that it will take most of the day on August 13th to bring all of the JHPCE cluster nodes and storage arrays back online.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you are planning on starting any long-running jobs, you may want to wait until after August 13th to start them. Please let us know if you have any questions.
